The Recycled City project introduces the basic concepts of urban planning. The pupils design and build a fictional city considering different functions of buildings, transportation, public buildings and housing, and public spaces. Even the smallest spatial design combines "strength", "utility" and "beauty" as Vitruvius put it. A shoebox makes a good start for this challenge, even if "You can't fit all your dreams into a shoebox." (quote from an Arkki pupil)
